Be a man Brown.....resign!

I've spoken to 3 players in last 20 mins and all want him gone. They say they can't work for Ned in particular and everyone's so confused on what specific jobs they have. I know it's a very down and distant squad and players want to leave.

I'm sure if these players informed Brown that they can't play for his coaching staff and "want to leave", no-one will stand in their way. So I would suggest that, if this is true, these players have dog's danglies neither on the pitch or off it.

Brown deserves another few matches now that he is near to having his best players returning. Then if there is no improvement, we thank someone who has at least done his best and have a new manager. But there is avery important difference between Brown and the owner.

Smurf will probably be sitting there quaffing the free food, quaffing a few vats of Sky Blue in his Coventry scarf and laughing at all Vale fans (including his deleuded followers who never criticise him) - I honestly believe he does not give a damn.

He doesn't deserve any more time. He didn't deserve the job in the first place. Also on your last point that we were ok today, I've spoke to a few mates who went and they said it was as bad as it gets.

I'd imagine Ned Kelly would upset a few players with his 'work hard, wear shorts standing on the sidelines at minus 30'C' ethic so that's not massively concerning. As for players being confused over their roles, well you only have to watch the games to see that in evidence really.

5 more games!?!?!? No chance!!! He should be sacked right now. If he has any dignity or respect for the club he should walk tonight!

Yes, he should go now but he's not going to resign. Who else would employ him? Not even clubs in the lower reaches of non-league would give him a chance, he's that hopeless. So he's going to cling on until he's pushed - unless, that is, Norman wants to destroy us as a club, in which case he'll let him stay and watch us suffer. How on earth did we end up like this?

Could be the nail on the head, confusion amongst reasonable players (Don't have to be world beaters) will never make progress. We cant change the players at this stage, only the organisers. Perhaps there should only be one if 3 work at cross purposes.

Which players returning?

Lain ton and Montano have joined Forrester on a sickie.

They are extending the first aid room to accommodate them.

They should've ashamed of themselves undermining g the manager like that. These sort of characters don't help. If they have issues man up and tell the manager not the fans.

Going to have a bet on it, like this one earlier, ?

quote by Mattjudas

So confident I'm not going and have put £10 on Coventry-2 handicap at 6.5/1. Just wondering what to spend my £65 on now[/B]

At least real fans can have a laugh at you losing your £10 sewage money. Saves you thinking about what to spend the winnings on, and takes the edge off losing just a tiny bit.

Sewage money??

Making stuff up again Bea?

What was your excuse today then Bea, luck? Referee didn't send enough of their team off? Obviously brown didn't have his luck, referees and injuries team talk that you told us all about

Garlick is so weak trust me he left Macclesfield in a mess. And Rochdale also so why do people think he would do anything different here. He's a nodding yes boy to Norman and loves Brown and Brown knows this. I know 100% what happens behind the scenes and players hate playing for vale.

Weak people always blame somebody else when told the truth

Seen this posted on the Oatcake, Might he have a point?

"Would say one of the big problems at Vale is the fans. They've fallen out with every owner of the club during my lifetime from what I can recall. When its not going well they're looking to oust the board, justify not going to hurt the board and will financially hurt their club to try and get their own way.

I haven't heard of any clubs supporters falling out with a fan owned board before, but they've driven another owner to the brink who was actually funding them massively out of his own pocket. But that seems to be the entitlement, that a chairman will come in and just sink all his money into it with no care for the consequences. Just whatever money it takes to make the vale fans happy. Robbie Williams has even come in for some criticism for not being this man, not sacrificing his wealth for the happiness of the vale fans.

In some regards though, now they're a club nearly 30 years down the line of constantly taking exception at the chairman trying to run the club in a sustainable way they think will yield positive results. Who can go in and ever get anything positive out of it? There's no patience, no reasoning. Any sleight will be the signal for a fan uprising against the board.

Smurthwaite seemingly tried his best, he saw the club was unsustainable financially and tried to change the way it was run. It didn't work and even before midway through the season the fans had driven him to the point he didn't want to be there. If the guy who owns the club doesn't want to be there, and doesn't want to foot the bill anymore then of course relegation is almost inevitable."
