Blakeman proved to me what a fool he is when he said that he could listen to Artell all day.this is the second time he has made this statement. To me the bloke sounds as dull as dish water and he is as biased a manager as I have ever heard. Before he starts crowing he should wait until after the New Year when on that showing today they will be mid-table at best.

Very unlikeable. I look forward to reality hitting come November. Crewe have played 1 decent team who were finding their feet at the time. They scraped victory against Barnet and again today yet Artell is fist pumping like its May. A very Sunday league type manager.....like Brown and Morgan.

I heard the interview and he came across like he had already won the league. More than a shade of bitterness there, despite winning. "Crewe go up, Vale go down" , was childish at best, followed by a big chuckle from Blakeman. Very unprofessional imo. But it's a long season yet, and anything could happen.

Whilst agreeing with all the above comments, it should not be forgotten that we did lose ! Don't let the Artell comments fog the view that we are a poor side. And the inescapable fact that we are in real, real trouble. And have an owner who by his own comments is "numb" to Vale. I, personally, see no escape from this nightmare while The Fat One still owns the club. My father died at a Vale game in 1972 and even that did not stop me going to the games. Sadly, Smurfthwaite looks like he will do what the Grim Reaper failed to. I cannot explain how depressed I am about this whole situation.

Sorry that's total pish. They had more clear cut chances and we didn't bar Popes header actually bother them at all. They were better defensively and attacking than us . We just ran around a lot and did nothing with it

Presumably he was including Brown as well as the Vale supporters in his comments who incidentally has played all his career at a far higher level than Artell and probably forgot more about football than he's ever known !
