Not really, financially the best scenario we could have hoped for is not how I would see it. Even if we had stayed in league 1 and only sold Hughill for £1.2 million we would have been better off.

Thats if we stayed up. IF we got an offer that much for a player in a **** show of a side. And if we kept him that long and didnt take the first offer we had for him. Look, we can make up pretend scenarios, but the 2 million in the bank (probably more seeing as they are holding out for more) will be our record transfer fee received. For a player who hardly played for us. Ive got no idea why you are trying to make it sound like a bad thing, because whoever negotiated deal for us since Billy bell left the club, have a dire record of getting anything like a good deal for us. Even your mates. Werent they once negotiating a fee for a player (luke rogers maybe?) and they ended up negotiating until it cost us money for him to leave? If BRatt was still here, you'd be telling us what a master stroke it was to put a sell on fee for him.

I think the money would be great. Who knows the fee could go higher? As for Smurf selling, it is only good if buyers are willing to put more money in. I have been raging at Smurf, but this squad seems far more expensive than our last league 2 one, so frankly Brown is the one who should have no excuse.

Smurf said only current squad players sold would go back into the players fund in a different post. So doubt he would put that money into the players fund. Would love him to and allow us to actually buy a player if one comes up.

You never know with Smurf what he will do.

I believe the Alnwick money will be spent relieving Brown and his team of their duties. Not come from anyone that either just my thoughts.

One thing we all know is that Hugills money will be trousered as Norman only intimated that current squad player sales would go back in the pot,you must realise that Normans pocket comes 1st 2nd and last.

In fairness he has lost a lot out of his pocket and if he is just waiting for that before he goes would anyone be that unhappy with that?

That's exactly the opposite of what he's done to date to be fair. He's just consistently chosen the wrong managers to spend his budgets.

Seeing tweets that "major money" being offered now (more than the 8 mil already rejected) before deadline day. With Wolves, Reading and Sunderland interested... not sure they can hang on to him much longer?
