We were definitely on DAB last season (and Crewe on Mw) which was very annoying as I don't have DAB.

 

Get a radio with DAB George well worth it and prices have dropped so sure you can pick one up pretty cheap. Really good reception in Newcastle unlike Medium Wave which when we are on that wave length is always a struggle especially at night.

Why isn't DAB available nationally? By it's nature, I didn't think it would be restricted to North Staffs. Having said that, since we moved to the sticks, I can't even get Radio 4 on the bliddy thing.

It's to do with local transmitters, multiplexes, technical stuff like that.

 

I never used to be able to get Radio Stoke on DAB in Manchester but I retuned it recently and it has appeared. It sometimes sounds a bit garbled in poor weather but I just assumed that Paula had been at the sherry again.

 

As I always say whenever the subject is brought up on here, I'd recommend a DAB radio to anyone. You get to listen to 6 Music and (unless you're some sort of long wave purist) Test Match Special sounds loads better on it.

Also you get to listen to Radio X which most of the time is excellent.
