That's the chance he takes. But if he hasn't signed for someone now, there must be a reason. Maybe clubs think his commitment/fitness isn't right ? Maybe he wants too much money ? But clearly something is amiss, but quite what, who knows ?

he's got a week to get fixed up then he's on the dole so it's up to him if he's that flush then it wont bother him but it aint easy living on sweet f a.

Number of assists during his career would be an interesting stat. He would clearly add the creativity that we desperately need if we are going to challenge for promotion. I'd be pleased if his signature was announced this week. On the down side, he has missed all pre season training. He obviously fancied a longer holiday before committing to any club.

Can't understand the lad obviously had a tough time at Accy where he couldn't get his place.

Came to Vale where most of the fans appreciated him and close to where he lives.Ok he didn't get an offer to play at Villa.

At his age if he wants regular football he should welcome a deal at Vale.Must have an high opinion of himself.

If his heart was in it he'd have signed weeks ago, got a full pre-season under his belt, got himself match fit and got to know his new team mates properly.

He had some tragic family circumstances, if I remember correctly, which must have affected his form. He clearly thinks he deserves to play at a higher level than L2 but a spell without a club might cause him to think twice, especially when you have an offer on the table. If you ask me, his higher league mates have turned his head and so he's holding out. We'll see!
