Just wondering if any other fans will subscribe to the iFollow service.

I have just been reading the details and it seems a great way to actually follow The Vale. Just wondering if anyone else it thinking of joining up.

Is this for both home and away games ?

Yeah, entire season. No use for me as I'll be at nearly all of them, but great idea. Reading a few forums, for the people who can't get to games in the UK, some are just signing up & using a VPN so they can watch, so looks as though it may have a few uses.

VPNs work on some things and not on others. My brother is currently working in Turkmenistan. The VPN works with Sky Go, but iPlayer and BT Sport don't work. If the EFL have got their act together, a VPN won't work in this country to watch. I hope not, as it'll have serious ramifications for the football league clubs if people can sit at home and watch their league time for just a percentage of the cost and the hassle.

Yeah agreed, although the majority I've seen talking about it/looking to sign up appear to be either elderly & unable to get to matches, or abroad. A few would definitely see it as an excuse not to go, with it being essentially a cheaper version of a ST (without the atmosphere), but I don't think it would deter hundreds from going, especially at our level. Just not the same as being there.

As far as I can tell, people seem to have subscribed fine in the UK with VPNs, but no streams available to see if anything ends up being blocked yet. Can pay on a VPN with a UK card too, so don't have to have foreign bank set up etc.

Thanks. Yes, it all looks good, although I have my reservations on what quality to expect from camermen at some league 2 grounds. I will give it a go though, as I think its reasonably priced.

Do we still do recordings of the games to sell on DVD with commentary? If so, I assume that we might employ the same people to do it.

Is this taking over from valiant world

Looks to be, can't see anything on the main menu bar about it anymore, just iFollow on the 'More' section.

I would have thought they'd be employ someone to block the VPN ips at some point, makes no financial sense not to.

I like going to the games and try to get to as many away games on top of my season ticket. But if I thought iFollow was available for the games I can't make it to in person, then I would consider it. Once you start chucking in the cost of a VPN on top of the ifollow package I reckon it starts to not be worth it if you're only watching 10 games a season.
