Think brown said him and knopps won't play again the other day. We certainly need two, we need to have a bench that's capable of changing the game

People keep mentioning him but apparently still nowhere near ready for any sort of action, not even in the reserves.

When we play the likes of Morecambe and Newport at home and they camp 11 players in their penalty box we need options from the bench to break them down if things aren't going our way.

The Sentinel now reporting that we have "several" trialists at Mottram Hall. If we assume two are Green and Barnett, anyone got any ideas on any more?

Think we a bit ahead of ourselves there Parklife, hardly going to storm to the title are we and have teams coming to park the bus.

And again this forum is about opinions, no right or wrong. But IMO can we please forget Andoh, the guy has not kicked a ball in anger in almost 2 years , think it was a cold night in Colchester October or November 2015 when he got injured. He is not suddenly going to be the messiah .

I'd say:

 

- 2 first choice defenders

- 2 first choice midfield

- 1 first choice striker

- 1 first choice winger

 

Yates will sign too, so another 2-3 back up in addition to the above. Realistically we currently have 16 players who will feature, so that would make 25/26 total (not including first years, but possible that one or two of them could play a back up part in games like JPT fixtures).

If Yates hasn't signed can we withdraw the offer of a contract and sign a decent right back.

As he,s training I assume it's a done deal and the club are holding it back to boost season ticket sales or were they wetting themselves in case people didn't buy them last week if they disclosed it.

Apparently he's almost definitely going to, supposed to be wanting to stay local, just been on holiday for a while so may be why he hasn't yet.

I understand it's all done with Yates subject to him proving his fitness in pre-season

He is out with an injury for a month them MB is hoping to sign him.
