Apparently the club statement said they were working towards Fathers day but a further announcement would be made when they had more details. According to FB they are chasing the supplier. https://www.port-vale.co.uk/news/2017/may/statement---season-ticket-renewal-deadline/

What a load of rubbish. You put an order in, get told a lead-time, chase up constantly to make sure it's on target, do some contingency/scenario planning incase the factory messed up and you'd know exactly when one of your best revenue earners is landing at your door.

This is just a small example that magnifies the absolute shambles of a football club we have. Independent sellers on eBay recieve products (far more intricate) from China without problems. Why can't a supposed few 100-odd thousand pound business get a 1000 shirts delivered when they've got literally an entire year to get it sorted.

I couldn't leave the house if I was Smurfwaite, especially to places where people would know me; I'd be that full of shame for my shambolic behaviour.

I'm surprised anyone would actually expect the club to get anything right.

The owner, the less said about whom the better, has disappeared.

He has employed his mate as a fall guy. The public face. This mate, I suspect, has an attic filled with anoraks and thousands of notebooks filled with train timetables. This mate is completely unsuitable for the public office of a professional football club chairman and embarrasses himself everytime he opens his mouth.

The backroom staff are the same old boys club who have been at the club, plodding along doing the absolute bare minimum, for years.

It's a shambles root and to branch and needs going through with a great big **** off Chainsaw.

New owners. Tear it down to basics. Almost all of the staff need to be replaced. Start again.

That is the only way we'll ever get out of this cycle.

In fact it's the most generic answer that could be given.. "chasing up the supplier"

It's the oldest one in the book. It's the equivalent of ringing up an IT department only to hear "try turning it off and back on again"

Really annoys me. I've grown to genuinally ignore Vale news, I just don't want to know. I'll always follow them and go, but I have a burning passion of hatred for blokes like Smurf. The big I am, bathing in glory - to complete hiding and petulants to the fans. Same from his daughter. Family trait is they all can't behave in a dignified manner over the Internet, so don't use it. I just wish the nightmare would end.

A good indication of success and a successful person is how well after failure you can pick yourself and carry on. At any signs of failure, he's blamed everyone else, diverted responsiblity, gone into hiding, treat fans like dirt and the best way apologiesing for a disgraceful relegation season publicly and then has the audaciousty to ask fans to stump up the same price knowing we will see a team that's an even lower budget than the last shower of sh't.

Normal Norman

Sick of it. Get him gone, get Micky Mouse in charge and save the Vale
