Evidence of poor club management

Recommended Posts

common sense should have told him that if it was such a money spinner signing unknown overseas players then selling them on for mega bucks it would have been done years ago.

Spot on

He thought he'd spotted something no one else had..the pound signs flashed before his eyes, the ego kicked in and a little known agent saw the opportunity to get his hands in his cash cos of that and played him like a fiddle

Isn't Norman typical of the style of management we see in 2017, across many walks of life? He knows the price of everything but the value of nothing.

Pope, Dodds, Marshall, Dicko, etc. can all be replaced by better players on lower wages for less money. Plenty of players out there. What's the fuss all about? Very easy to find cheaper alternatives.

Well guess what? It's not.

Across all industries there are senior figures who think they are always right because by whatever means they have been right in the past and so got to where they are cos of that. If you're going to take on such responsibilities then you've got to have a big ego and a big opinion of yourself so you're not going to be the kind to think that you don't have all the answers

The best have that confidence but recognisetheir limitations and exploit (in a good way) the talent around them

Joe Anyon .. seriously.. anyone on here wanted him to stay when he left ? Has been a journeyman, injury prone at that.

Marshall was offered a deal and left of his own accord to move ' nearer to LONDON' , then came cap in hand to come back. Had he come back and been a flop NS would of been panned for having him back.

Craig Davies looked like an overweight bloater the last time he played against us , and unfortunately Alex Jones was never our player anyway, nor was Mr Davies.

How players who left in 2010 can be included in a thread on poor club management beggars belief.

In the interests of balance, it was the right decision to not offer Enoch Andoh a better contract. Though we'd have been better off having a few Andohs in sickbay than having Mbabma on the pitch.
