Ryan Boot & Dan Turner

Both signed new one year deals. Bit confused with the signing of Boot as if he couldn't get in the team when Fasan and Mehmet were playing, wouldn't have thought that Brown rates him !

I am confused as well by Ryan Boot. If he is worth another contract then he was worth a place on the bench and worth more than one game in goal. It makes no sense to offer a contract renewal unless we plan to play him. Good that Dan Turner has signed. I think he has a bright future ahead of him, he hwas done well, next season will be big for him.

Dan Turner is a good signing, as he is learning his trade and seems willing to try and score and have a go.

Dont rate either of them, but i suppose they have to start somewhere.

 

As much as Turner tried, he isnt good enough. Loan him out to some conference sides and hopefully he comes back a better player.

Not the signings we,ve been expecting.If Boot wasn't good enough when Alnick left how can he be offered a contract.Next it will be Sam Kelly,Scott Tanser and JJ Hooper.What about Bikey and Eagles.Looks like we are starting where we left off.

How much will the club be worth in the conference.

Synetics must be worried they will withdraw their offer.

Pleased for Boot. I've said it before this lad will definitely become the number 1 for Vale. Good technique just needs experience which is why I think Vale have resigned him and will send him out on season long loan at National League level.

Jury still out for me with Turner but happy for a young lad from our academy given a chance.

Agree with you about Turner - he was nowhere near ready for the first team (which was not his fault whatsoever), and although he didn't really show a great deal IMO to indicate that he will become a League-standard player, at least he gave it his all and didn't shirk in his performances.....unlike some of his more experienced colleagues!

 

While Reeves may be worthy of being involved in the squad/on the bench next season, Turner needs sending out on loan, ideally to a Conference club, in order to try and improve his game and toughen up.

Boot will start the season as a back up to a new 1st choice keeper, and will compete for starting place, as Michael Brown has shown he isn't afraid to play the younger players unlike previous managers.
