Brown or Smurthwaite

Both should go and give us a fresh start.Smurthwaite is a clown and had chance to support Michael. Brown when Bruno left. His decision to pocket the 350k in January rather than strengthen the team showed that he had no interest in trying to keep Vale up.

His supposedly plan B(ollocks) never materialised.

Brown also had plenty of time to turn things round but by alienating the foreign players and not bringing in a much needed striker failed to stop the rot.

As I've said in other threads, I've not really been to the Vale much this season for one reason or another, so I don't really want to comment per se on who is to blame and why relegation happened. There seems to be some people who blame Smurf and others who seem to lay the blame for relegation firmly at the feet of Michael Brown.

So, a simple question if one of Brown or Smurthwaite had to stay in their role at the Vale next season, who would you prefer?

Smurf....100%

Brown. Smurthwaite is a parasite.

I said last July if it goes base over apex (as it most probably will) then I'm not going to blame the manager(s) and players - and I'm not.

The one person who is 100% to blame is the Chairman, who broke up a mid table team, appointed an unknown manager and allowed him to bring in a whole raft of inexperienced players.

It's that simple.

Just think where we might have finished in the league had we kept the core of last seasons' team and added to it 3-4 better quality players.

In a simple one or the other I'd keep Brown. He may not have kept us up and he may not be everyone's cup of tea but he has forgotten more about football than Norman will ever know. Norman is out of his depth, he tried but he's been misled by people who don't have the Vales interests at heart

Time to go Norman
