I am recovering from an illness that will stop me driving for at least a year. So travelling from Wirral will be very taxing. I'm going to watch what happens the next few weeks before deciding to invest in a season ticket or 10 game block etc. I think Smurf has made a Horlicks, but the extent of his financial downside points to misjudgement and not fraud as in the past. So I'll give him a chance to show likelihood of recovery next season.

I was moderately satisfied with Page and the modest progress we made under him. There was a lot of disatisfaction and calls to do something more dramatic. When Ribero was appointed and all these lads came in, many (and I was one of them) were saying, oh well, we're in for a roller coaster, promotion or relegation is certain but not safe boredom - strap yourselves in.

People were applauding Smurf's enterprise. This is what can happen. Even though I wasn't calling for change I can live with what happened, one in six clubs get relegated from this league every season. Let's stabilise over the summer. I still vote keep Brown, work hard in the transfer market and build on a decent spine in Smith, Streete and Foley - I believe we can keep all those. I'm sorry to quote Page, but ..... we go again.

Sorry to Non-pointless fans. It is a quiz game where the object is to find the lowest answer to a question, ideally 0. In this case the teams in the top 4 tiers, with less than 12 letters who people in a sample have heard of , Arsenal got say 80, whereas Brentford and Port Vale scored 0. Hence nobody in the sample quoted us.

Even though i knew this squad would struggle for most of the season, todays relegation still hurts me so much. I've loved the Vale longer than my wife and kids, its in the blood. Ill still be there next season, but no season ticket for me, ill just be choosing my games if Smurf is still here.
