Michael Brown hoping to stay and prove he can be a success

It hardly matters who comes in as manager, as whoever gets the job is going to need lots of new players if we are going to challenge for the top 7. However, we have got a Chairman/owner who seems determined to cut the wage bill down, meaning that the manager will not get the players he wants/needs.

The same applies to the manager's position - we will not get the experienced, League 1/2 battle-hardened manager we would like due to the Owner's reluctance/refusal to pay the going rate for such a man.

Summed up in a nutshell.

For the love of god, he's worse than Glover & Sinnott

Correct. Here are the damning statistics:

Glover Games 39 W12 D8 L19 Win percentage 30.8

Sinnot Games 44 W9 D11 L24 Win percentage 20.5

Brown Games 22 W4 D6 L12 Win percentage 18.2

Incidentally, Brown's record is the third worst for the Vale since records began in 1896, which makes him a dead cert for Norman.

I have watched worse: Ivor Powell Games 19 W2 D8 L9 Win % 10.5, he retired from coaching at 93.
