Although he's far from the only substandard player in the squad I'm in despair at what a poor keeper he is. I honestly think he's the worst keeper I can remember playing for us and that says something considering the efforts of the likes of Mike Stowell or Chris Martin. It shows how bad this season has been when we lost Alnwick and replaced him with two pub league standard keepers who have cost us loads of goals. Both goals today were woeful from a goalkeeping perspective, the first a cross that a keeper should come for every day of the week and at least punch and the second a schoolboy save that he seemed to cock up by diving out of the way of the ball.

Surely Ryan Boot has to be given a go now with nothing to lose?

I think he is marginally better than fasan but it is a close call. Makes you wonder what Sam Johnson makes of it all.

Its makes me wonder who is behind the signings of these very poor goalkeepers. We had 2 of the best keepers in Chris and Jak now we have 2 sunday league keepers. No wonder we are heading towards non league.

Boot had a shaky debut(i actually rate him) and was instantly dropped yet Fasan was given a run of a few games and Mehmet also despite many mistakes.

 

Boot,Reeves,Turner and Gibbons will all more than likely be here next season so they might as well play in the last 2 games in place of those who dont give a ****

Good effort from the lads we deserved something from that match. Agree with what's been did about the keeper situation. I'm sure sam Johnson would have been a better option but hes on loan and it's probably not an option. Team did a better effort today got loads of efforts blocks clear from the goal but mehmet just doesn't command his area and looks fixed to the spot when were posed. Hes not terrible, just not good enough. Stayed behind to clap the players deservered that at least. Vale till I die☺

Incredible that we have gone from Alnwick and Neal to Mehmet and Fasan in 12 months. If Neal isn't getting a game at Fleetwood we should try and bring him back. Aint gonna get any better in League 2.

I really dis pair at threads like these singling out players. We've got 4 or 5 players who are actually good enough, the rest are here for now.
