Social media

Rare bit of praise, certainly from me this season, but it has been very good to see how the Vale have used social media to "build the buzz" this month, particularly after the 2 wins and the good draw at Southend. Even if it has played a small part in the recent improvement in atmosphere at the games, and by extension, the performances of the team, it is surely to be welcomed given it costs nothing to log onto Facebook/Twitter and post. Well done Vale.

I agree 100%. The whole tone of the posts are different. Twitter in particular now engages with and responds to fans in a personal but professional way. Only engaging in positivity, answering questions politely to be helpful, and every few hours posting something, anything positive. In the run up to the Northampton game there was a post to remember the promotion game, with an old video uploaded. It just gets fans up beat and until recently was a massively under used resource. I'm thankful that whoever is running it these days understands the value of building the buzz, something that Norman has repeatedly said he doesn't do, in the past.

I've noticed a big improvement on social media too, far more info coming out from the usual outlets. Seems to have improved since Colin Garlick attended the supporters club meeting or is that just conincidental? Norman's gone very quiet too since he answered questions on here. The Sentinel seems to be reporting more too, not sure if there is still a rift between them and Norman or not or are they still picking up news from everywhere else?

I emailed the club last week praising the social media effort over the past two weeks.

I thin kit's been outstanding and something we've been crying out for. Well done to whoever is behind it.

We have 39.8k followers on Twitter alone. The importance of positive social media should not be under-estimated.

Sentinel are banned from press box still!!This needs sorting out as they still provide excellent coverage.

It's been brilliant. A lot of credit is due for whoever is running it!

Nice to see we're being positive and engaging fans more by making everyone feel part of it!

Does anyone else think that this has coincided with the improved atmosphere at Vale Park too?

No,home wins do that.
