Slaven was bought in by the master to score goals and he did... Futcher was another needed to score us goals and he did... i'd have Hughsey back yesterday to score us goals... all had trouble running but were a dead cert for a goal in the box...

I think Ryan Taylor will be back. He has returned from his holiday in states without a club so imagine he is an obvious choice.

When is the deadline signings for tomorrow night? I thought for a Saturday game it is midday the day before. Probably 5pm today for tomorrow.

 

Isn't it 12noon on the day of the match for night games?

 

Didn't Constantine sign for us and then made his debut (and scored!) that night in a Friday FA Cup game?

Taylor divided opinion but got fitter and stronger the longer he was here. I don't think we should underestimate the value of experience to this very young team. Watching them last weekend they all seemed fairly quiet and not very vocal. I expected Purkiss to be shouting all game at the youngsters in front of him, to keep them focused and goal side their men (Shadipo and Guy) but I didn't hear a lot from him. Maybe I'm hard of hearing!

He can also take a penalty and we don't appear to have many players who can currently do that.

And mediocre though he was, he'd get on the pitch before most of our bench in the past 3 weeks.

I wouldn't be sorry if he re-signed until May.

According to wikipeado Bikey has been with Indian clubs for the last 18 months.

 

Maybe there is something in this rumour as there seem to be recent links with India, as Smurthwaite stated that we could have signed 2 Indian internationals (think that was during the aftermath of the Exeter defeat), and also there were suggestions that one of Smurthwaite's "outstanding candidates" for the manager job last summer was Stephen Constantine, who is manager of the India national team.
