The more, the merrier, but it strikes me more as desperation, probably brought about by our severe injury crisis. For the last few games our bench has looked non league standard with the greatest respect to those on there and as I said last week playing Sat-Tues-Sat isn't helping one iota. 2/3 of the current line-up need a break, to recharge their batteries and/or to build up fitness. We've been scraping the barrel for quite some time and running on empty.

 

A new face or two - even a half fit one for 45 minutes - would give us a lift, but we've seen with the likes of Paterson and Eagles (recently) that it takes 3-4 weeks to get up to match speed and that is time that we don't have.

That's it in a nutshell. Tired , weary players who are trying their best for the manager , but we don't have anyone to change a game for us.

It's not over yet , and a home win tomorrow would be a huge boost again, after Swindon, but it is going to be very difficult for everyone.
