Keep him on regardless of where Vale finish. I don't think there is much point trying to get a manager with history. Its the same old names and you know they'll eventually get the sack - that's why they are available and with experience. Yep - of seeing results dip and then getting the sack.

 

Lets go with Brown and give him a go. Managerial careers start somewhere. Success starts somewhere. Why not now, here with Michael Brown as manager?

For me, it's not the actual releagtion that's of most significance, more the manner in which we slowly slide in to the swamp of mediocrity that's League Two.

Norman is playing his mind games again.If Vale get relegated he can blame Brown and sack him.Still can't see why he extended Browns contract as it will cost him more money if he does. Bet all the fans not wanting Uwe Rosler wish we had him now. Norman could have helped Brown to strengthen the side in January by using the money from sales to bring in better players but he didn't. The obvious stumbling block in this case is Norman. Anyone bought in to replace Brown would struggle due to the consistent meddling from the owner .

Best to stick with Brown and Morgan to steady the ship.

Look what happened last time we employed an up and coming manager we got Jim Gannon a disaster waiting to happen.

 

Jim Gannon was not an up and coming manager , he had been a manager for 7 years when he came to us.

1 - Michael Brown will be manager next season, or 2 - Michael Brown won't be manager next season, or 3 - Norman hasn't decided yet.

Gone are the Spurs, Derby away, Liverpool 2-2 at Anfield, Everton etc.

Another Rudge won't happen at Vale, the game is different nowadays, Andy Jones and Ian Taylor for example are now the Ricky Miller or Lee Gregory types who cost upwards of 250 grand.

Michael Brown is not going to be the new John Rudge, if or more likely when we go down he will have a hell of a job just stabilising the club in the bottom division.

Ton confirm I'm not saying that Michael Brown will be the next Rudge. Far from it. I'd just prefer Vale to chose someone just starting out and eager to learn than some journeyman manager who will be here for a couple of years and just pick up a pay check.

The massive problem that i have is after 13 games is it Smurf still cant either name Brown or another manager,how many other clubs have a caretaker manager for that length of time?

 

If he is waiting for a manager who maybe cant join until the summer then just say so........how long has the India national manager got left on his contract now Norman??
