What ever happens

Brown deserves a crack at it whatever happens this season

I've always been a big fan of MB and was happy for him to take on the role whatever happened, but I'm trying hard to justify those thoughts after last nights display and other substitutions that have cost us points over the last few matches.

I also think we are in a similar situation to Coventry in that no matter who is placed in charge they will do nothing with the players at their disposal. It's also a case of if Brown is not going to the be longer term Manager, I just don't trust the Chairman's judgement to get the right person in post and give him sole responsibility for team recruitment.

I like him but last night showed he's far' date=' far from a tactical genius. No-one can play anyone with 2 players.[/quote']

What you seem to be wanting is some sort of experienced manager with a proven track record. Like good centre forwards, they want paying in money.

I’m sure the coaching/management team aren’t without their faults, but it’s worth remembering that Brown is an inexperienced manager in his first (caretaker) job so it’s inevitable will make mistakes.

You've been pretty scathing about the current coaching staff on a couple of threads today. I don’t know if you’re trying to deflect on behalf of Norman but I’m not buying it.

I don't know if Brown will in time become a good manager or not but since he's taken over I've seen a lot of positives as well as a few understandable errors. Above all he's having to contend with an horrendous injury list. I think we had 9 out last night! No one can cope with that kind of injury list, not even Wenger, Conte or Ferguson.

He needs to be cut a bit of slack. We were on the slide since October.

I have a feeling that had we avoided these terrible injuries we might have survived but it doesn't matter who the manager is if he's got a whole team out injured, many of whom are clearly first choice players.

The job he inherited was already tough but now with so many players out and/or unfit it's virtually an impossible task.

That's exactly what he's doing, the same can be said about Mattholl on facebook. It's so transparent what their agenda is it's frightening. They're more bothered about supporting Norman than they are the unfortunate staff and players (especially the kids thrown right in the deep end) trying their hardest to get us out of mess Norman has put us in. Norman's been making mistake after mistake for 4 years, costly mistakes too...but that's alright, he's still learning. Brown on the other hand, he's been CARETAKER Manager since Boxing Day, with an injury list you wouldn't wish on Stoke (maybe I would actually), and any mistake he makes is unforgivable.

Matt for instance, the hypocrisy is laughable. It's all, football fans are fickle, they're never happy, they'd still be moaning at whoever else owns the club...then goes on a rant about how Brown shouldn't be the Manager. I think the point would probably be lost on him though.
