The last offer we had there were people in the pub before the game who didn't know about the offer.

The pubs in town do well out of the vale on a match day, I'm sure they will be happy to oblige.

Let's encourage SMURF this is the right direction of travel. We'd all like a tenner a game but finances dictate otherwise and cash turnstiles are a move back in the right direction. Well done! Let's hope it becomes more permanent.

A "2 for £20.00" deal would have been a lot more appealing. It would be part of the deal that the tickets have to be purchased in advance. That way we'd know what crowd to expect and cater accordingly.

 

With this "offer", if there's a drop of rain that's all the excuse needed for some of our "fans" to cry off.....so it won't make any difference if it's £20 cash or a £22 ticket cos they ain't going anyway!

 

I'd like to say I applaud the effort but I don't. It's an idea (if you can call it that) that was suggested on here.

If we are going to try and get more people in to the ground then it needs to be a better offer than just £20 for Swindon. As someone pointed out we've got Shrewsbury after that, so maybe make those 2 games for £30 or less, and then offer the remainder of the home games cheaper too. We need all the help we can get. Whilst we're at it, offer free coach travel to the away games too.

this cash at gate request, if fans turn 10\15 before game same scenario long queues, why cant one of a group pop up and get tickets before a game, or encourage pubs to carry tickets behind the bar.if your not really that keen on attending to support your team, excuses will always be made.u.t.vale

Just tried to buy a ticket for the Bycars for the Swindon game. Still £22 so yet another of Smurf's off the cuff remarks which never come to fruition. Did make me laugh though when it says 'Please wait while checking availability' - at least the official website has some optimism.

Well we don't know if Norman has communicated this to the right people yet. We don't know if they have failed to act on it. We don't know anything really.....so it's rather harsh to jump to laying the blame at his door just yet, don't you think?
