extra time

watching rugby over the weekend they only play 40 mins each halve when a reffe stops the game the clock stops when he starts the game the clock starts again.why can we not do the same, then there would be no need for extra time . this would help us from beaten on 95 min .

Would also of stopped us beating Bolton with Ray Walkers' 97th minute goal, part of the game, too many stupid changes over the years, let it be.

I wouldn't want extra/added time changed at all. It would stop a team being beaten in the 95th minute, but it would also stop them from winning in it too.

Having added time means potentially more excitement for me, especially when nobody knows exactly when the referee is going to blow up. Those few extra minutes of being nervous & unsure if we're going to get equaliser or a winner, ending in us actually scoring...moments like that are what got me addicted to football in the first place.

Not to say an 80th minute winner wouldn't be good too, but it's just something a bit more special to me.

Maybe we can just improve & learn to see games through like every other team, rather than asking to change the game itself.

The only difference would have been that we conceded in the 90 minute

The ref did stop HIS clock and that is why he added 5 minutes and then let the crowd know.

I agree a timekeeper would be beneficial but you would have to agree as to what issue's

the referee is happy to allow for ' stopping the clock '

At least everyone would be fully aware from the moment it happens
