Calm down pussy cat, bit rich coming from a poster of most of the bizarre posts on OVF. Good chance that she knows Iran is a sponsor of terrorism state, even at her age.

 

Iran has a lot of faults, but in recent democratic elections the more liberal faction was elected. They have a very bad human rights record, recently a bit better towards women, but because they support Hezbollah and Hamas does not make them terrorist, as the Isrealis could easily be called terrorists and the situation in occupied areas of Isreal is too complicated to see one side as totally innocent and the other as totally guilty.

 

One thing is for sure - Iran is moving towards a more liberal policy, long way to go, but that will disappear if the small olive branch they are holding out is thrust aside.

 

I'm so sorry you find some of my posts bizarre - some people would call them open-minded. But there are people who have said far worse things of some of your posts - its a risk you take coming on here.

I don't know where you got the idea that the Queen was or was not impressed, but she is in a rare tiny minority that is not entitled to have an opinion, unless she wants to give up her position and the money we pay her.

She is also pretty senile and totally out of touch with normal life, and showed how she understands the public 20 years ago after Diana's death, so God knows how anyone could think that 20 years on, and at 90-odd years old and kept in cotton wool, that she could have a valid and in-touch opinion on anything except hunting, her corgis and that ghastjy mouthgob Prince Philips embarrassing her more.

 

Whether her opinion is valid or not she has a right to it, even if position restricts her voicing it.

Age is nothing to be afraid of david... as with death it comes to us all if we wait long enough
