Might be on to something there, offer them a swap deal!:laugh: Could have offered Lloyd as part of the deal had he not already agreed an extention to his loan at Chester!

Joking apart would probably do Mbamba and maybe even Shalaj(not seen enough of him to comment?) more good playing for a team like Macc!

'Barnet have again been knocked back in their attempts to sign Macclesfield winger Danny Rowe, after the National League side rejected a second bid from the Bees.

 

The club's forays into the transfer market have made them one of the busiest teams in the country during the January transfer window, with eight players joining or leaving north London since the start of the month.

 

Last Wednesday, a bid believed to be in the region of £100,000 was rebuffed by the Silkmen, and an improved offer has since also been turned down.

 

 

Rowe could, however, still add to the signings of Luke Coulson, Charlie Clough, David Tutonda, Ricardo Santos, Dan Sweeney and Simeon Akinola at The Hive – with joint head coach Henry Newman confirming the Bees retain an interest in the 24-year-old.

 

"We put a bid in for Danny last week, we like him very much," he said. "Macclesfield are holding firm in their stance, though.

 

"Since then, we put a better offer in and we will see if their approach changes. He is a player we like, but it is whether they are willing to sell for the price we bid."'

 

Also interesting that Rowe is 24 and out of contract in the summer so Macc could lose him for nothing in a few months.

We won't be signing Rowe for 2 reasons:

 

1. If Macclesfield are turning down £100k bids from Barnet, we aren't going to pay anything near that.

 

2. Someone asked Smurf about him on Twitter and the reply was "WHO?".

 

We won't pay a fee that high for him, correct. But the second one is nonsense. You only have to look at his twitter to see he is sarcastic so don't take any answers on there seriously.

I remember when Smurf was asked about Kiko in the Summer, after some portugese side reported that he had signed for us he said 'Who'

 

So I wouldnt take that as gospel.

The player will have some say and he may not want to go to Barnet... long way from home, smaller club than Vale and at a lower level...

 

He could hold out until May to sign for us (hopefully) in League One or if our bid is close and he rejects Barnet forces Macc to accept our lower bid to ensure some financial return on him.
