No tavares in the squad. Another one to leave? Don't think Kelly is a league footballer myself but there aren't many attacking options in the squad despite its size. The formation isn't the problem, as long as the tactics and players fit.

 

I thought this too up to around a month ago but I can see some potential in him when he plays in the hole. He has quick feet and can shoot but needs to improve his decision making.

Plenty of experience as assistant manager, having been so to Billy Davies at many of his clubs.

 

If Brown is bringing in such backroom staff you would think that he is going to be in charge for the foreseeable.

 

A far better option than the one I was half-expecting, namely Glover - if he is still in fact employed at the club, as I've seen a couple of mentions on here recently that Glover is no longer at Vale. Anyone know if this is true?

 

He's chosen to leave I understand.

The standard reference is whether the linesman can see across to the opposite touch line. If he can it'll be on.
