I couldn't care less how negatively anyone I've never met or had a direct conversation with perceives me it's their / your loss if they do.

 

I'm sure George Michael would feel the same if he saw some of the vile comments on this thread which are wholly inappropriate, offensive and terribly timed, it just reflects terribly poorly on the authors.

 

Hopefully the Matt Carragher thread won't attract the same and that will remain a tribute to the man.

I am not a great fan of the music of Wham or George Michael, but was still sorry to see that he had passed away at a younger age than many, after a troubled life that had seen him hounded unfairly by many.

 

Those who make references to his 'living life to the full' should not be sanctimonious, I'd ask, do you say the same to anyone who smokes cigarettes, or drinks rather more alcohol than they should, or drives too fast.

 

Many people have issues and turn to harmful things to help them in a difficult and unfair world that we live in, and money and fame do not always help protect anyone from their troubles.

 

In any event, RIP to another victim of this year of loss and horrible events, and condolences to friends and family.
