I wonder if Plan B simply means replacing some of the poorer, inexperienced, younger players with older experienced English ones? And maybe not necessarily replacing the manager.

He may have been looking for and talking to a prospective new manager.If so, he is not going to broadcast it to one and all.

 

No action? He can not be accused of no action over all. If one thinks of the things that he has done and still is doing, his actions have been plentyful. He also has other business' to run and maybe has foresaken them a little in order to give his time to concentrate on Port Vale.

 

Whether or not a person agrees or does not agree with some, or all of the things that he has done, it can not be said that Chairman Smurf lacks action.

Rubbish. We've got a decent home record, two winnable home games coming up, ,we're in the FA Cup 3rd round and we've got our best players about to come back. Of course he should sack the manager!

Yet again after another shocking away performance Smurf was apparently fuming at the end of the game and was quoted as saying "Toast" to the radio Stoke reporters,this was similar actions to the Exeter defeat where he told supporters on the coaches he was sacking Page next morning and then failed to follow up his words with action. At the time he used the excuse that he was misquoted and then came up with a different version later on when Page left.

What excuse are we going to be told this time ? And will he follow up his comments with Action before it's too late ??

 

 

I'm a long way from Vale Park to know all that is happening in the name of Port Vale, but for all Smurfs real or perceived 'bloopers' to date it is my thinking he does have checks and balances in place if for no other reason to benefit himself.
