Matchday Thread: Port Vale v Northampton T

Lets build on Sunday`s performance, and carry on with the pressing game from the off. A Super December would be great and a good base if we have a giant task in the next round, or more likely firming our place in the POs and a stepping stone to the next round. Back to reality, one game at a time, the same players to turn over an old page?

Guaranteed to lose this game. (Ever the optimist!)

They're in a really bad patch of form and hate their manager. Which pretty much means they'll take all three points.

Fingers crossed though and I shall be cheering the lads on. I just cant get excited over beating a poor League Two side and think it reflects on our squad more than people may think.

Roll on Saturday!

Were Hartlepools much worse than Stevenage? Surely more confident than after that game, but within reason?

Cobblers have spent big on wages, the likes of Revell, Zakuani and Matty Taylor all must be on decent wedge, however when you have a negative dire manager in charge the money spent is hardly an issue.

We have to win this game and send Mr Page home with a defeat so that his team ' can go again ' .

Weather forecast for latter part of the week suggests a bit higher temperatures so no excuse for not getting down to Vale Park on Saturday!

Too warm, no free mince pies, Reggie not playing in a Santa outfit.....trust me, there'll be plenty of excuses!

Simply has to start Cicilia. No excuses no ******** "he's not ready for 90 minutes."

If he can't last a 90 minute league game then lets at least start him and bring the clueless strikers off the bench when we have something to defend.

I'd go unchanged, although Thomas in for Kelly if he's fit enough.

Think fans that sit on the fence for what ever reason should make the effort and come down to V.P. and get behind the young lads, it was great hearing the names of players being chanted, it does help them raise their game and build confidence in the team, one of the main elements for winning games,so lets all think for the good of our club forget the moans and excuses. another K + in the ground could make all the difference
