Christ, this makes me feel old: I saw Primal Scream play Keele about 28 years ago! It was the same day that The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays were on the same edition of Top of The Pops and the band, pre-Screamadelica, were in their MC5 phase. We spoke to Bobby afterwards and he told us that they had got one of their tracks remixed by Andy Weatherall and were hoping for it to come out in the Spring. I used to love the band but (with no disrespect to the OP) find them an utter embarrassment now.

It's always weird thinking of how a lot of the 60s bands that seemed really ancient when I was young were far more recent than the bands that I loved then (The Smiths and other indie stuff) are now (if that makes sense)? Me remembering that Primal Scream concert is like someone back then reminiscing about a band from 1961!

Enough. Already. I'm far more interested in finding out what people thought about Primal Scream than another squabble.

Really, I think I should set up a thread called "Please complain at other forum users you dislike" and let anyone who wants to have an argument go in there while the rest of us actually have reasonable conversations.

There's a very simple way of getting by on OVF and that's by having respect for one another. We're a lot of different people with differing views. We won't all get on but I don't understand why people can't either just ignore people who disagree with them or simply use the IGNORE feature here - http://www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/profile.php?do=ignorelist

I now expect several emails/PMs telling me the other person started it...

p.s. I am deleting all off-topic posts from this thread.

I went to see Motorhead and Saxon at Exeter uni 3-4 years ago, First time I'd seen Motorhead since their Vale Park concert in 81 and first time I'd seen Saxon since Bingley Hall around 83 (I think). They were both brilliant back in the day but they were terrible second time round....although it's probably me getting too old!!

Having said that I have seen Maiden, AC/DC and Kiss in recent years and they were all still amazing. Not as good as G4 though ;)
