Two simple points on this;

1. Yates can not play wingback

2. Clayton Mcdonald is woeful

 

We need 4 at the back,this wingback system will never be successful at vale because we don't have the players to play it! Terrible today,I was on the golf course and got ripped apart by the guys i was playing with, a Crewe fan and a stokie. It embarrasing, i said to them as soon as it went 2-2. . .we will lose this.

 

Anybody else think Plymouth are nailed on certainties to beat us next week after their terrible start!? Only at the ****** vale. ****ers.

Fisrt 5 games " easy "

 

Second 5 games " hard "

 

Third 5 games " tough "

 

Need to see where we are end Oct and if its where i believe we will be - we have a problem

 

Trouble is its too late then to complain. The 4500 becomes 3500 and the Vale suffer.

still got the same problem as last year no pace @ the back

midfield with roberts and lofty playing very attack minded not helping the defence

how many times did loft and roberts play together last year ?

This isn't a wind-up, but I really do believe the 'Club' is missing Tommy Fraser, both on and off the field.

Not the best midfielder by any means, and he would probably agree, but his influence is sorely missed.

What have you been drinking ?

Understand your thoughts re: captain on the pitch but if we need to resort to Fraser

before a Roberts / Griff / Dodds etc we really arre in a bad state.

Can never understand why professional players need a captain.

What can a captain say to them that several experienced players on the park plus 3 of the management team on the touchline cannot say. Players are either good enough or not.

I personally think Clayton McDonald is better than Gareth Owen,, CM seems so relaxed - had a good game at Tranmere and made some great tackles today whereas Owen did nothing.

 

At corners last season Griffith had a specific role, to be at the front and attack the ball when it's coming in, now he is in-front of the man Clayton McDonald is marking - why have two people marking one player eh?

I think some of the goals we have conceded could have been avoided if we played with two centre halves, one going tight and one dropping off. Playing with 5 defenders is clearly not making us solid at the back, so all we are doing is compromising our attacking play. Having said that, if we had hung on for another two minutes then we would have earned another point, after a long journey against a team who have started well.

 

Averaging 1.3 points a game I think now, but 2+ is what teams need to get promoted.

I think we need a solid, settled formation. Two banks of four with everyone knowing their job worked for us a year ago.
