Bruno Ribeiro's press silence prompts rumours and speculation

I agree Geo. The issue I have is that Bruno had done almost all of the talking to the media and then the day after MK Dons he went silent.

If it was simply because he has delegated the media duties to Smith and Brown then fair enough. And that I have no problem with. Sadly though, rumours are flying around. I've asked Norman three times on twitter with no comment back. Some guy was embroiled in a conversation with him yesterday on twitter and then asked the question about Bruno's silence. Conversation stopped. All this makes me be convinced there is an issue. And like I stated previous it's all very coincidental that the silence came as the "who paid for the hotel" argument was happening.

Even more damning is the silence from the sentinel and RS as to why this has occurred out of the blue with no explanation whatsoever.

I'm sure they know.

I understand some fans comments about it not being an issue if he talks to the press or not. Lots of managers do it. The issue lies with the fact that it happened suddenly, after Norman wasn't happy that Bruno had said he had to pay for a hotel, and now the fans are left to make assumptions, rightly or wrongly.

Norman is very vocal on twitter and a quick explanation would have sufficed but I believe the explanation would probably lead to some more grief for him and so he's keeping his mouth shut.

But whilst we are 7th in the league it's more of a topical factor than a major concern.

Im not suggesting there arent things going on in the shadows ST... far from it... but Im rapidly approaching the point of not giving a rats ass what it is

He said very little.

They're all a happy family. He likes others to do interviews. The team is ok but we lack a winger and a striker. Every team is on a par with others. We are top ten so not bad.

No searching questions at all from Radio Stoke. Might as well not have bothered.

Thanks for that. Sounds like his previous interviews then.

If you've not listened to Jerome Thomas' pre-match interview on Valiant Player, he praises Bruno for taking care of him. He's the reason Thomas is at Vale Park. That gives an different impression to the conjecture we've tossed around over the last few weeks.

Thanks. Sounds like he is trying to manage our expectations though I don't think Norman will be amused by the sudden drop in aspiration - not so long ago, Bruno was saying he thought we could top the league, never mind the top six by Christmas

Well said Tone.

Some will choose to ignore that though.:whistling:

That interview was a little negative Bruno? Norman suggested plan B at Christmas if not in the top six (not the top ten). Therefore Oldham (only club bookies had below Port Vale to end the season at bottom of the league)a must WIN fixture. Shrewsbury (third favourites to go down) Norman to show Dodds, Mc'Givern and AJ what they are missing playing with our international set a must WIN fixture, Hartlepool near the basement of league two a good thumping (that Stevenage should have received) to offer Notman a BIG payday. Northampton will see Rob Page depart after seeing his team hammered. AFC Wimbledon will be the next team to be totally outclassed by the mighty Valiants. That's it Bruno/Norman top six by Christmas Eve.Why did anybody doubt the outcome?
