FA Cup 2nd Round Draw. (Vale vs Hartlepool)

For Us All

Recommended Posts

No it;'s because we're in an awful run of form, with a manager that insists on playing one dimensional football using players in positions that they are obviously uncomfortable with. We have been very lucky in many games this season, as we were yesterday. Had they got the equaliser that they deserved I doubt very much that we'd be playing anyone in the next round.

But.....they didn't. Equally if we'd won every game this season we'd be top of the league.

We aren't in great form at all granted and we aren't moving the ball quickly enough for my liking but it's a sign of a good team to win when not playing well.

All teams have dodgy runs and we've had a very difficult set of fixtures in October. November in terms of results has started well.

No they didn't but deserved to. They showed more desire, passion had more purpose and were ultimately unlucky, still we're through to the next round so all is good.

October, yes some tough games but that's 7/8 games where we've almost not turned up and have taken a hammering in all of them. If we continue playing like that then we'll lose far more than we'll win and we'll end up with fewer and fewer fans to witness it. Is it any coincidence that yesterday was the worst attendance for an FA Cup game for 108 odd years. Still not to worry.

Wouldn't mind Westfields if they beat Curzon in the replay . A chance to be a televised game maybe ?

There is next to no chance Westfields will be able to stage the game at their own ground if they draw a league club with even half decent support. They are in the same league as Rocester and Shawbury United(who play in the town where i live). It will be moved to Edgar Street without a doubt if they draw Vale, Shrewsbury, Coventry for example as demand will be too big.
