Ah, ok, I see the link now. It went straight over my head. Whoosh.

I suppose we could all postulate that to be successful you have to have a big-headed streak of arrogance but I do much prefer the quiet conservatism of the likes of Pellegrini and Ranieri.

I suspect one of the reasons why we've been in the doldrums of late is because we haven't had the good fortune or played well enough to have a cracking cup draw at the Vale. Arsenal. Spurs. Liverpool. Watford. They seem light years away.

Not only would the money have been great but the publicity and buzz created would have been invaluable to us. Look what it's done for Lincoln and Sutton.

I really miss those big one off games. When was the last big one we had? I'm thinking at home really. I can recall Spurs away but wasn't that in the League Cup?

It's no wonder Norman was fuming at Exeter.

Been going since '01, only 'big' games I've seen in cup ties are Fulham away (6-0), Villa away (3-1) & Tottenham (3-1). The League cup run to get to the Tottenham game was the only one that really stood out, beating Championship Preston, QPR & Norwich (on penalties) all at home first. Haven't seen any PL sides at home.

You missed some great ties in the 80s and 90s then. Spurs, Everton, Stoke, Watford, Liverpool, Arsenal. Fantastic times.

Yeah I missed them, but my nan & dad were diehards (how I got into it), & they bought the matches all on VHS, plus the goals from nearly every season in the 90s, so I've got them all!

Everton was my favourite...I've been desperate to see a crowd like that down Vale too. The promotion year was the only time I've ever seen anything like it.

Sutton to nick it 2 1...but as a non betting man easy for me to say

The Gambling Commission says it is investigating whether there was a breach of betting regulations during Arsenal's FA Cup win over Sutton on Monday.

Before the game, a bookmaker offered odds of 8-1 that Sutton reserve goalkeeper Wayne Shaw would eat a pie on camera during the match.

The 46-year-old did so in the 83rd minute while standing by the substitutes' bench.

Dodgy?
