And a lot less than there should be for a top 6 clash

Two home games this week then an expensive away game at a ground which will be a new one for a lot of folk. Add to that the fact that we've only won one League game at Bramall Lane in the history of the world. 700+ looks very decent to me.

Slightly off topic but noticed over 8000 at Notts County yesterday for their game with Crewe, they gave away over 4000 tickets, when was the last time we did something like this as a one off. Yes we done the games for 15 quid or something similar but nothing like this. It would be nice to see on the tele the Bycars Stand full even if just for one game, you never know we might put on a decent performance and a few people may want to go back again and pay the full price.

in general most home games have been decent , with some good, open attacking football and good possession (cov apart). unfortunately away from home we have been mostly average to garbage. I have seen 4 away games of which I travelled to 3 . in the 3 games attended, I have watched us score 1 ,concede 8 and pick up a single point . hardly inspiring away form . the forthcoming trip to Bolton will be well attended I believe even though we have been poor away and I reckon there could well be between 1500/1600 vale in attendance depending on our next 2 games (new ground for many )and a few pints in manc no doubt along the way.

home attendances have been as such for numerous reasons , I would suggest the main one being sheer inconsistency . if we hit any kind of away form coupled with further decent home form, attendances will start to increase significantly by xmas.fans believing in the team will only come from consistency and we need to get past the January transfer window with our stars still playing for us and hopefully 2 or 3 quality additions ( striker/s winger x 1 ) .

here's hoping.

You can almost guarantee that if we did this and got 8-10000 in, Vale would be shocking, lose heavily, and the people with the free tickets would be demanding their money back.

Blokes behind us saying their mates aren't coming because they don't like the football at home. Seems they'd rather 'kick 'em hard, hoof it long' type stuff.
