Why would he want to leave Dunfermline to join Vale... he must be fairly sought after and I doubt Vale would be top of his list.

 

He has left them and is a free agent, although believe he had a trial at Blackburn 2 weeks ago. Not sure what came of it.

Not sure I really like the way the chairman seems to be dictating this. I was quite impressed with the winger against United and tend to agree with the manager's assessment that he needed more out wide. We've got 4 strikers and the manager seems to like to play for a lot of the game with one up front. The manager is paid to sign players he believes will score goals in the future, not be told to sign players who may have scored goals in the past.

According to transfermarkt it was like £600K~ for Bradshaw, doubt that's completely accurate but yeah they most likely bought the striker to replace him, & got the money from that.

 

So are we still having Santos & possibly ditching Loza? Is that what Smurf is saying? As I can't see us having both him & another striker, whilst ditching the keeper.

They could have had a lot more. They have a sell on clause for Troy Deeney who was rumoured to be joining Leicester for £30m this summer. Luckily for all Vale fans who, erm, dislike Walsall, Deeney opted to sign a new contract at Walsall...

Can I put Andy Williams' name into the hat? Gone down to League Two with Doncaster but was Vale's "number one" target last season only to turn us down at the last minute. I think Norman said he was on big wages, but he does score goals at this level. I reckon with his spell at Swindon he would also fit into the lone striker role (which I think he did there and got 20-odd goals unless someone can correct me).

According to Wikipedia it was a three year deal (i.e. two left) but I wonder if he's the sort of high earner Doncaster would allow to leave for a nominal fee to get off the wage bill as he's an expensive player for League Two football.

I was told by a Swindle fan that he was on £7k a week there.

 

I saw him a couple fo weeks ago score twice against Newcastle. One was a pen and the other was an unmarked header which I could have scored if I'd taken my specs off.

We had one with the club, but Smurf decided Nathan Tyson wanted too much money. There must be a creative way to get him to sign. Big goal bonus perhaps? Promotion bonus?
