Holiday destinations

Hey , over the last 3 years we've been going on holiday to turkey ,me , partner and 3 children , the place suits us as its hot , laid back , cheap , and the people are friendly . However with all the unrest in turkey at the moment we have decided that next years holiday will be some where else . Where do you guys recommend ?

Also we usually go with Thomson but I believe it will be a whole lot cheaper booking it through on the beach and others alike , are these sites safe with the administration of lowcost?

Any inspiration and help will be very appreciated . Thanks

Playa blanca in lanzarote. Been there 4 times, love it. Lovely area, loads to do, nice beech, loads for kids, great restraunts. It's brilliant there id highly recommend it.

Last time I went we went with teletext, everything was sound, been with sun master as well they're OK.

Some cheap 3/4 star hotels in the area as well.

Our two are grown up now so we tend to go for culture rather than sea and sand but when they were little we used to go to the west coast of France (Vendee) although I guess you might not fancy there now.

Spain and any of its islands are pretty good too in that regard. Plenty of travel companies go there and as long as they're bonded (Atol?) you should be ok.

We used to go camping or in a mobile home with the kids. Companies like Keycamp.

I was going to suggest coming further east but you wont do it in 4-5 hours and a week isnt long enough.... 10 days isnt too bad.

If you could it would be cheaper to book everything individually, hotel about 30 quid a night, flights from about 450 quid... depends on time of year.... flights arent short though... 12+ hours

We have just returned from Lake Bled in Slovenia , it is at the foot of the Julian Alps and is stunning.

There is lots of culture plus many bars and restaurants . Really cheap and friendly people. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend it.

Normally we go to Spain but decided to have a change this year and I am so glad we did.

First things first, whoever you decide to go with please make sure that they are ATOL protected and not like lowcostholidays. For families I highly recommend Cala'n Bosch in Minorca,Playa Blanca in Lanzarote and Boa Vista in Cape Verde.I'm sure any of these resorts would be ideal for your needs.

We normally go Turkey every year too, but like you didn't fancy going there anymore with all the trouble etc. We ended Up going Sidari in Corfu this year. Lovely little place, plenty bars and restaurant, 3hrs on plane, and just over 1 hr on coach from airport to resort. We always book with Thomsons too, as not a fan of booking it all separate.
