Nonsense. Mane is a fantastic player, absolute quality on his day. Matip will be one of the better center-backs in the league, I have little doubt. Wijnaldum should score 15 goals without breaking sweat in a much better side than Newcastle. The rest are either squad players or one's for the future, such as Grujic.

I'd missed the news that one of the very best English managers of all, Nigel Pearson, had been appointed as boss of Derby County. Pearson was not given enough credit for the Leicester turnaround, and in my view would have been a good shout for England manager.
Locally in Leicester Pearson was given the credit, as was Steve Walsh who has gone to Everton as Director of Football.
