Yes it is his cruciate ligament thats gone. It pretty much spells the end of his season before its even got going. A shame.

Yatesy has always given his best in a Vale shirt. It's true to admit that he is not the most talented of footballers but he has proved a loyal, solid Valiant in his years with us. His commitment and service for us have to be applauded.

I think Adam has, over the years, been harshly treated by some fans. He has given his all for Vale, he has shown loyalty and been a good all round squad member on and off the pitch. He was well worth a new contract, his ability to boost the squad was never doubted by me. I hope he recovers from this setback and we see him in a Vale shirt again..

Whilst he was far from being the most talented player in the squad, he was probably one of (if not THE) most loyal players we have. I saw Brownys interview the other day where he said Adam was was looked up to by most of the new players and they asked him for lots of advice, hopefully even though he's unable to play, he can continue in this role as some kind of Ambassador for the players.
