If it is 400k and under 24.9% plus the loan it doesn't have to be put to shareholders....thus the 28% cartel plus Broxap/AGS shares have 55% and Jackson returns with a majority and it is game over.

exactly! and Caroline thinks i am mis informed! probably because i arent on the BandG commitee!

I have written confirmation fro Mr Oliver that he wants all investments into the club which will have a major effect on the ownerhip of the club should be put to shareholders. Are you telling me he is two faced??

Oh did NLV have to ask for MS to be at the meeting? I assumed that the board had invited him as part of the "heeling" process. Surly though you would not want to reject the MS offer and then face the backlash at such a meeting. Just trying to think logically about this.

Mark being as you seem think that you are so much in the know.Could you tell us why the board have failed to produce the share register by yesterday as per legal requirement?

no he is 22 faced!

and whether it is put to the shareholders or not it will be a poll vote based on number of shares so we are fooked either way

Judging from your earlier posts on this thread, you need to have a little more faith in the people going to meet the Board this evening. Cosy is not a word I would use to describe the environment which will prevail

why who is going?

what experience do they have in negotiating and extracting sensitive information?

what questions are they going to ask?

will they be bound by a confidentiality clause afterwards? on all or certain points?

it will be as un-cosy as the board will allow and they will tell you what they are happy for you to know.

the title of the thread says it all Simon, they will tie you all up in knots and bluff and bull****t you til you are ready to burst with frustration. then back to square one.......

A lot of discussion went on as to whether to go to the meeting or not.

Part of this was because of the danger of been seen to cosy up to the board. They offered sandwiches at 7pm, but I think these were turned down.

Also, as you rightly say what is going to be achieved?

It was felt that there are enough skills in the group going to be able to re-emphasis what is necessary to unite fans and the board and PD will be told in no uncertain terms that we know they are trying to delay things and we are not fooled.

In fact I told ML not to take us as being thick on Saturday.

He tried to make political gain out of Mark speaking to the press about his proposals. However, this was in response to the statement put out by the club that MA would stand down when someone else comes on to the board. ML tried to insist it was MA decision, I told him we are not thick. We know the club are using MA as their pawn again.

I am in full agreement with you time for words must stop from the board, they either act now to reunite a fractured club. If not then they risk losing 1,000 or so Vale fans and the generations that would follow them into Vale Park too.

The time for change in NOW!

they are using these meetings to buy time and present the image that they are working with the fans to acheive change.

as soon as they have some cash from whatever source all this communication will stop and we will all be out in the cold.

i would have said shove your meeting and respond to Mark Sims, we aint playing your games anymore!.

What do people think will be the outcome of tonights meeting with the various groups of fans?

My guess will be that the board will try to drag things out and stall any movement on "possible" change. This is a tactic the board have used many a time in an effort to maintain their position within the club.

Lately we saw this happen with:

Mike Newton (who is now going to take his money to Oldham)

American Consortium (no Financial Director on hand)

Mo Chaudry

Mark Sims (no Financial Director on hand)

So how might this play out with fans groups:

I think they will try and say that change is happening:

1. They are now meeting the fans - this should be the bare minimum to expect from a supposedly fan led club. Why has it taken 8 years to arrange anything?

2. Perhaps they will say they are looking to set up a Fans Parliament? Well this may or not be a good thing, however, it does not tackle the problem of how to unite fans, in fact, all it will do is lead to more disunity as a large sections of the fans will see this as a way delaying the removal of BB & Glen, the only thing that will unite fans.

3. They will say wait until after the directors attended the Supporters Club meeting. Why? Meeting the fans does not show any significant change or compromise on behalf of the board. They are merely attending to something a supposedly fan-led club should be doing. Again this merely a way of delaying procedures until they can secure their places on the board and will not bring unity. BB & Glen need to go and then we will stand a chance of reuniting the fractured fan base.

4. They will say that major investment is being worked on - more delays. Any sponsorship brought into the club that attaches shares to it will be viewed with scepticism, unless verified by a new interim board. The bond of trust between the fans and the board has been irrevocably broken. Only significant and immediate change in the boardroom will allow a new relationship to develop. As the saying goes 'it is pointless putting new wine in old wineskins'.

What the pro-change groups need now is action rather than more delays. Such delaying tactics really show how nothing has changed and helps to perpetuate the belief amongst some fans that nothing will ever change whilst BB and GO are part of the board.

It will be interesting to hear if the board have responded to Mark Sims and, if so, what that response might be... I could hazard a guess...what about you

Going with an open mind then?!?

seo

mark sims press release to tell the fans exactly what has gone on since the egm

maybe some different types of protests

fans asking for a refund on their shares (one already has had a refund)

more talk is pointless in my opinion as it just causes more delays and buys them time and the chance to create decent pr with some of their believers and neutrals
