Books about the Vale

A full biographical history of the club is long overdue. Certainly a book on the Rudge years could be good.

One book which tried that was one called "Why Delilah" available via Amazon as a download.

It is written from a biased Stoke perspective but tries to illustrate the rise and fall of both clubs through the 90s and 00s. I thought it was quite good, but does try to claim Vale are at fault for their own downfall rather than all the good fortune that Stoke had being a factor. No council stadiums or wealth from local bookmakers is really acknowledged.

I'm glad that you enjoyed my grandads books, he absolutely adored the vale. Even after he left the vale he never truly left he always visited and I enjoyed going along with him from time to time. Writing was his number 1 passion  so I'm glad to see that people enjoyed his stories and books.
