Writing as someone who has a vested interest (in updating the OVF front page with the news) I think it's anyone's guess.

 

I wouldn't expect a blanket announcement today, for one thing.

 

I would expect the club may announce the players who are signing (they have done that in the past) over several articles (i.e. I think it's literally when the player is available to be at the ground (and not on holiday) and can sign the contract and be photographed). I suspect the likes of young Billy Reeves will sign - can't see him leaving - so there should be at lease one of those articles on the official site.

 

As for the ones who don't sign - I guess it's a question of whether they tweet about leaving (as O'Connor did), whether they wait till a contract is agreed with another club to announce their move and so on...

 

In other words, today is the deadline for the players to inform the club but I suspect we will be none the wiser for several days on exactly who is staying and who is going...

I think its a safe bet that all the younger players will be signing. Billy Reeves, Harry Pickering, James Gibbons and Dan Turner. Smurf also spoke of another one that they'd offered a contract too out of Jon Kapend, Chekaine Steele, Lewis Bergen and Omar Haughton.

 

But they are the future, they won't be playing next season regularly, so the important news is who of the established pros are accepting or rejecting their offers.
