It's taken a long time but I'm pleased for the families that the truth has come out and they can get some sort of closure.

Agreed

Criminal action will be a different matter with a greater burden of proof coming into play but the truth is now out there for all to see whatever happens next

RIP 96

Someone was saying earlier about emergency services failing some of the people who lay injured, not giving adequate treatment. There have been stories that some people who were unconscious were put in with the deceased. This may have been for various reasons.Lack of training, staff, poor communication.Lessons have been learned and there will still be more to be learned. The consequences of this could be huge.More police, more medical staff, better training. All this will take time. Will they now insist on having more police at games which will cost tax payers(many of those will not even go to games). It will cost club's who will have to pass the cost on to the fan's.But those cost's are nothing compared to the lives that were lost.It is disgraceful that it has taken so long to get to this stage. Its time for someone to be taken responsible for these failings, lie's,altered document's.

Taken time but the truth will come out in the end. Such a massive respect for those involved in attempting to get the justice richly deserved for the fallen fans. RIP all and hopefully some families/loved ones/friends can take solace in the proof now that the fans were not the ones to criticise.

Although the repercussions may involve more costs for Clubs throughout the Land it really is a small price to pay for any life lost, let alone the number on this occasion.

Reds, we stand with you. Football fans of the World unite to say a lasting goodbye to those of you that lost your lives and those left behind to carry on doing what they did for your Club, support their Team. Respect.

At last they can rest. But let no one believe for a moment that this was an isolated occurrence of police behaviour at football.

I expect that the police will be taking a very long hard look at themselves and looking at and re-writting their handbook.

Sadly true, Nick. I was at White Hart Lane in '87 at a fifth round FA Cup tie. There was a similar crush on the away terracing which fortunately for me, I witnessed from the seats. Lads were being pulled over fences into the adjoining pen to escape the crush. The Police didn't give a ****.

I was queueing to get into Fulham Broadway station outside Stamford Bridge when a load of police horses came gallopping along the road pushing us against a wall then crushing us into the station. I freely admit I was in tears when I got on the tube I was so scared. Eddie had a bag of crisps in his pocket which had turned into a bag of powder. Frightening and all caused by some police jockeys.
