Neal or Alnwick?

Neale is a very good league one keeper but imo Alnwick is the best outside the top 2 divisions and has the potential to play premier league.

Neal for me, commands his area better than Alnwick, both excellent shot stoppers.

I don't think Neal was at fault with Posh's 2nd goal given the angle, the angle was not that acute to the byline so if Neal had covered the "Near post" he would have easily been beaten on his far post.

He was 100% at fault for the second goal. Alnwick is a far better keeper

Git to be fair to the man in possession of the shirt until he costs us. He did it with Alnwick so he has to do it with Neal.

Neal for now.

He technically did on Saturday. A keeper should never be beaten at his near post especially from that far out from a fairly average effort. He's a great keeper but I think we look far better with Alnwick in. He is the better goal keeper and we should be picking our best 11.

The god awful defending in front of him left him with no chance, Duffy was a one man defence as Dickinson had created space for his opponent.

I don't think it was 100% his fault. The player was unmarked and you have to look at poor defending prior, but I agree that he could have done better.

Neil is a very good keeper at this level. A solid 8/10

Unfortunately for him, Alnwick is exceptional and is easily a 9/10 league one keeper

I think you should always play your best players.

My view too, George. Neal has been brilliant in his 4 years with us, one of the main heroes of the promotion season and cementing ourselves in this league, but is no longer our best goalkeeper. Personally, I hope he leaves in the summer with our best wishes and finds success somewhere else, rather than warming the bench for a superior keeper here.

Differ 100%, guy who scored was only a yard outside (if that) Neal's left hand post and about 15yds from goal so not a very acute angle to the byline, if Neal had have been closer to his left hand post he would have been easily beaten at his right hand post, Neal's positioning was fine. The concept of a "keeper shouldn't be beaten at his near post" is moot in this case 'cause the angle is not very acute.

Goal was a defensive error not a goalkeeping error.
