Blimey, I wasn't expecting that one.

 

Did some fantastic music, but my fave by far was his early period with The Nice. I saw them playing at Cauldon College in Shelton around '68, and they were fantastic and he was simply electric. Phenomenal stuff. I still play America and Brandenburger Suite and try and pass it on to younger generations while I'm at it.

 

RIP Keith Emerson - you certainly left a legacy to be remembered by!

He comes from near where I live and there's a framed photo of him in one of the local pubs. Reports seem to be suggesting that he has taken his own life. Very sad. What with George Martin and now KE, I think there may be a bit of a Big Train curse going on. Kevin Rowland should keep his head down for a bit...
