Directors sell Vale Park Naming Rights for £25K

Naming sponsorship of old grounds aren't worth all that much. Mainly because people will just carry on calling it vale park anyway. Its a different scenario than when a club is naming a brand new ground (ie The Britannia). The deal may well be structured as "the Wrights Pie stadium at Vale Park" or some such a la Aldershots "The EBB Stadium at the Recreation Ground".

100k for four years might not sound much, but it is better than zero. I am sure if anyone can sell a deal at a significantly higher valuation, the club will give you a nice fat commission.

£25K a season, minimum of 2 seasons, so in reality it is minimum £50k. Is it still THAT bad? How does tha compaire with our other sponsorship packages?

Its roughly comparable with other league two clubs with old grounds would be my guess.

The club are currently trying to 'hock' naming right to Vale Park for £25K.

How is this in the best interest of Port Vale? It seems more an act of desperation to sell of more silverware to secure the position of the current directors.

This flies in the face of what BB was saying this morning about the financial security of the club and exciting investment around the corner.

Continue to SEO. I for one have heard all this before.

I don't mind a stadium sponsorship fans will still call it Vale Park or what ever they want. I know man city fans who call their stadium maine road. In anycase it is the way things are done these days. I just argue it should be for a bigger fee than 25k.

When there was discussion years ago about renaming the ground the Spitfire Stadium, the club seemed to think that £50k to £100K a season was a reasonable ask for a period of 10 seasons.

I dont think its all that reasonable to compare this proposal to one that was never even signed and was proposed in a totally different economic environment.
