Some of the current squad need to look at browny's work ethic, hard work, determination and desire and wonder where theirs is. He's going to be 39 (yes 39!!!!) in two weeks and for the 2nd game running he's been vales MOM.

 

He dictates the speed of play, always looking to push the team fwd and encourages his team mates on.

Was an excellent player in his hey day, he's obviously still got the motivation, skill and is still very competitive and he's able to use his footballing brain to replace his aging legs. Being the holding midfield player suites him down to the ground, a real asset to the Vale.

Vale weren't great today but we dug in. At 39 Michael brown is chasing down loose balls after 85 minutes... He's putting in and winning tackles and getting stuck in. Too many players don't. Kelly, moore, Daniel to name a few

I think having Foley in the middle also helps as he covers a lot of ground and saves Brown's legs a lot. At least one more season in him at this level used properly.
