Great guy and big Vale fan died suddenly at his home in Southsea.

Although he hadn't lived around here for 40 years he made every game from his then base of Reading until he was 65 and would often meet us in far out places then drive back 300+ miles from say Darlington late at night.

Super guy and someone who I'll miss dearly.

I knew Ted to speak to, met him at many southern grounds and pubs. I remember for one home game against Reading in the 1970's he travelled up on the Reading supporters bus and after seeing Vale win, won the raffle as well! Hadn't seen him for a couple of years. RIP

He knew Ray well Cav. A game I remembered well from my youth was the Colchester v Leeds FA Cup tie and I got in touch with Ted a few years ago to get a Toffs old style Colchester shirt signed by him. He was really helpful and consequently I have that signed Ray Crawford shirt thanks to him. A good man. RIP

Remember some great away days with Ted, Walter, and Graham.

You will be sadly missed.

Me too, I remember him, I got ****** the day Vale played Reading trying to keep up with the guys drinking & was ill on the motorway coming home :blush:, very nice guy was Ted, Vale fan thru & thru,:(
