Sounds like he was in a restaurant somewhere, bet he loved the attention that came with being on camera in a public place.

One thing doesn't add up to me - the stuff about renewing Pope's contract in April 2014. I don't recall it being an issue at the end of the 13/14 season personally.

Another PR error.

If you're seriously hoping to get £4.25 million (good luck) for a club, at least try and promote a positive message.

That story surely has only put off potential buyers and/or significantly reduced the sale price.

Personaly I don't think he has any intension of selling the club, he is just attention seeking, we had the same attention seeking pattern, with Bill Bell, and dare I say it Bill Bratt, when this as all blown over, Smurf will be the same as the other two attention seekers, and say that there is no genuine buyers out there to take the club forward, in the mean time, I for one will still attend all home games to cheer the lads on to a play off place.

I have always supported smurf but I have to say he is going down in my opinion, he is acting childishly and seems intent on rubbishing the fans, he seems to be smearing us all based on the actions of a handful of idiots, which he will find at any club he goes to.

Its all well and good asking people to support the club, how about you set us an example then smurf, when the going gets tough etc. Show us some stability and intent on your part to stay the course and maybe people will get behind you. Allowing a few dheads to cloud your judgement about our club and taking your ball home with you isnt cutting any ice mr smurf.

I agree Smurf's health is important fair enough. He just seems to show a lack of respect to the club now.

It's a lack of respect for the fans as well. Especially given the level of support he had, which he has frittered away in four days of what I'd call madness.

Exactly how are his explosive revelations going to ease his health concerns?
Cant see that, they were not things he had to get off his chest. He may have regretted not signing the manager who did so well at Burton, it may not have turned out the same at Vale. All part of football, decisions made are in the public eye and scrutinized, criticism is part of the job, it will cause additional pressure should it be made public much later.

As for the beating up, unfortunate as it was, if he had no evidence of his assailants would going to the police have helped. High profile chairmen do put themselves at risk from disgruntled thugs, most people could think of clubs with minders.

More likely it was the cup exit that caused the outbursts, and realisation that perhaps things were not going to plan.

Perhaps football is not for him, and the more stable life of property and financial is less of a health threat.

He talks about embarrassment.

That's how we feel about the way you've conducted yourself.

He talks about having respect for the club.

You should show some yourself Norman.

He needs to leave ASAP. The guy is a fool. I'm so angered by this and his riddles. All bridges have been burned, there is no way back for him.

I'm not a million miles off that train of thought myself
