Salford City beat Notts county 2-0 last night.

What a great game this was, Salford played county off the park for near enough the whole 90 mins. Thoroughly deserved their win, I can't remember there being a misplaced pass, every pass found one of their own players.

Should also say it wasn't hoof ball, some fantastic football played for a team of that level, better than some league 1 games I've seen.

quite right Conrad, that's my boyhood team county, and they were awful, they resorted to hoofball and did not deserve to win. they seemed to be lacking effort and enthusiasm.

A fascinating insight to the running of this club and their famous owners is currently featuring in a BBC One (Thursdays at 9pm) documentary. The class of '92 are certainly ambitious and aiming to join not only the football league, but their stated aim is to eventually reach the Premiership--ambitious or what?!!

I think 2/3 of the planet are "Manchester United fans" so it is probably representative of the audience interest in the eyes of the BBC

the best part from that game last night was witnessing players youve watched growing up as a kid back in the 90s and the 2000's.

it was great seeing gary neville and nicky butt jumping up n down going crazy, what a wonderful moment for everyone involved with salford city fc.

Not so sure about that.. There were moments but the game was mostly long balls and for Notts County it was long hopeless balls.

There was a lot of hoof ball from county, but not Salford, yes they did make some long balls but they were long passes that found their man, not hopefull long hoofs up the pitch.

My mate, a County fan is in despair today. He suggests that his Team were totally disgraceful and lacked any fight/nous or ambition. He was a season ticket holder but this has finished him off. By the way he hopes Vale win tomorrow!
