A very good signing and 10 times better than ex. I just hope he doesn't start playing 2 defensive midfielders again, as we haven't got the attacking midfielders to be able to play a 4-2-3-1.

Good signing. Better than either Griff or Exodus in that position. Surely any strengthening is to be welcomed, though I agree it probably wasn't the top priority.

Not really. It's more wasted funds when we clearly need a left-sided player seeing as Gannon doesn't rate any of our squad in this area. Unless he believes Pope or J Richards will eventually develop into flying wingers capable of racing onto a 50 yard crossfield ball from Roberts.

Not going to knock the lad before I've even seen him play but in his 7 first team games this season, Bristol Rovers have conceded 22 goals

Jim will never drop Ex, he's bought in a second defensive midfielder who he obviously will play. One question. Why? We're struggling to score as it is and he seems to be going more defensive. What is wrong with 442? Rico and Rico up front, Loft and Roberts in centre mid, two widemen from Dodds, Rigg, Taylor and Haldane. It got us to the top of the league before Christmas, what's wrong with it now?

 

We'll be out of the play offs tomorrow, and to be honest, I don't give a rats fanny anymore.

I started a post entitled "Midfield Madness" last Sunday where we debated 9 players for 4 positions.

With Jim now having 2 of his midfield players in, it looks like 8 players for 2 positions.

It perhaps took Gannon a few weeks to see how inconsistent R. Taylor can be. At times I can understand why he wouldn't start with him, but fail to see why he wouldn't use him when chasing games or wanting to stretch the opposition. I still can't make my mind up about Taylor (which after all this time perhaps says it all:() Is he any worse than Haldane?
