Davidatpreston.#2.Never too much -Luther Vandross.A few million in that one.

Just listened and it seems to have 3 millions and 3 thousands, which is going to be hard to beat ! could also try for the song with the most different numbers mentioned so a 1-2-3-4 intro would give you 4 not a total of 10.

OK thats there to be beaten.... if you have the odd hour between moderating furiously (joking, glad to see new mods on board) and living the rest of your life Stone V, can you tell us the list of places in Rotterdam so everyone knows how many they have to beat, and if anyone can be bothered to count how many times the lovely hairy one says '99' in that song that will give us a total to be beaten for that too.:)

(I'll ban the Green Bottles song from part 2 in the interests of sanity)

Ok, in Rotterdam, Beautiful South

Rotterdam x 8

Liverpool x 4

Rome x 4

In 99 Red Balloons by Nena, 99 is said, get this, 9 times

99x9=891

I have no life! :ninja:

Collins is on a totally different level:D:razz:.

The last I heard, he was living in Switzerland so he didn't have to pay any UK taxes, but gives loads of money to the Conservative Party, so he could help install a Government which agrees with his aims.

No representation without taxation! Didn't someone start a revolution on a similarly different point of principle?

Answer 1, Rotterdam, Beautiful South

Answer 2, 1,000,000,000,000,000 bottles of beer on the wall! (Or more seriously, 99 red Balloons by Nena)

Rotterdam seems to have 3 - the title, plus Liverpool and Rome (and possibly 'anywhere') I do know of a song with more than 50 but will hold back on that for a while. anyone beat Rotterdam for now?

edit - ah sorry, didnt see your previous post - Rotterdam can either be 3 different then, or 16 place mentions in total.

The longest ever song title

SIR B. McKENZIE'S DAUGHTER'S LAMENT FOR THE 77TH MOUNTED LANCER'S RETREAT FROM THE STRAITS OF LOCH KNOMBE, IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1727, ON THE OCCASION OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF HER MARRIAGE TO THE LAIRD OF KINLEAKIE

B-side of Now Be Thankful by Fairport Convention

It is an instrumental!

FC once released an album that was entirely instrumental with a note on the sleeve "Lyric Sheet Included". Many wrote in to complain and were sent an apology together with a blank sheet of paper.
